NOTE: The number of page impressions the club get on the official site also improves the ammount of money going into the club coffers. We all know we need every penny we get our hands on so if you'd got out of the habit of visiting the club site then could I suggest you visit it more frequently?
The club are aware of the short comings of the site and plans are in place to rectify these.

So Keith wants more 'supporters' and less 'fans'. I'd just like more fans through the turnstiles - hopefully with a song in their voice.

I thought I was a 'fan' - i.e. a fanatic - next step up from a supporter who is (to a reasonable degree) obsessed with the fortunes of his or her's club. A fan is a supporter but should be able to justify judgement of the team.

I'm not a 'follower' of Barnsley as I go to as many games as I can afford rather than check out the score in the paper - so I believe I am able to pass critical judgement, not just praise.

Is Keith getting a bit too deep into all this now - and his attempted pychology with the fans? Likewise Im getting a bit too deep into the terminology ha.

A quick 'the fans were great' would do wonders.

A fan is someone who is a fan of the club..
A supporter - ME - is someone who supports it. Doing so by paying for tickets, merchandise and generally talking the club up - supporting it. Like foundations to a building, we 'supporters' keep it up, on a level.. or summink.
A fan is easily swayed by other influences, and usually fair-weathered in their 'support'..
    But remember, just my opinion.
Nice to see Keith blatantly reference me though - magnificent. Thanks Keith, see you for xmas dinner mate

In my opinion, KH wants the fans to be the twelfth man. They can only do that if they remain positive and encouraging, no matter what is happening on the pitch. It is easy to react positively when the team is doing well. It is difficult to remain positive when things are going badly. But this is when the fans can be most influential on the morale of the players. It fits in with the Hill philosophy of us against the world, a philosophy that could be very successful if everyone pulls in the same direction.

By the way, the message to supporters has not changed. Only the results have changed.
