Absolutely hate job adverts where they hide the pay. Why would I waste my time going to what is essentially a job interview with absolutely no idea what the pay, 'associated benefits' or even the hours of work are?

Simple answer is: I wouldn’t. The only people who would are desperate and are less likely to rock the boat about other matters.

Competitive pay will mean over min wage, but it won't be much because Real Living Wage until it's annual Autumn rise is only 48 pence an hour more than National Min Wage. A professional Football club should be paying RLW £10.90 an hour as bare min.

Should be more than £10.90 as well tbh…. I’ve been in the hospitality industry all my working life all be it in a variety of settings. I’ve been a Tutor at a SEN school though for the past 3 years as I’d had enough of poor pay and unsociable working hours. During COVID when everywhere was shut, a lot of workers migrated to other industries with better pay and more work life balance hours. The industry now though has seen a huge gap, leading companies to offer better pay in order to increase staffing levels. Rightly so en all, It’s a thankless job at the best of times.
