Please be respectful of those supporters who wish to enjoy the lap of honour and please keep off the pitch. To reiterate, the players will not be returning to thank the fans should any supporters enter the pitch after the final whistle. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.

They've done it like that before once or twice.

Quite. I know it means nowt in the grand scheme of things but won't vote next year if that's the plan. Don't agree with this, it's rubbish.

    Oh good.

    Well done BFC.

Now no one will run on the pitch following that announcement.

Not a chance. These announcements are not meant to be read or complied with. It's a waste of time.

It's sad they have gone back to treating those who spend money at this dinner thing as more worthy than the rest of us instead of announcing it before our last game as we did for many years.

people will run on the pitch no matter how many times they get told not to, they can post it on the club website and the chronicle and say it 20 times over the pa system but people will still run on

Incredibly disrespectful to the vast majority of supporters, most of whom will have voted in these awards.

Very sad that the player of the year award isn't done until a cliquey and elitist evening.

    Bring back the old tradition.

Right thing to put out the notice.
Together with thousand of others I want to stay behind and watch and applaud as the players do a well deserved lap of honour. Fat chance because all the morons will once again ruin it. It happens every chuffin year and it angers me to the extreme. Thoughtless idiots who have no respect for anyone else. The players will want to do a lap of honour for their families and friends and fans. Yet the brain dead amongst us will ignore this completely.
if you're there with your kids then keep them off the pitch for christs sake. Teach them to respect a very simple rule.
    STAY OFF THE FCKN PITCH.

Will the players of both sides kindly vacate the pitch, to allow the supporters to run around like idjeets. The fans will not be invading the pitch unless the players bugger right off. Your cooperation is appreciated.

And for those fans who voted in the Player awards, we are not going to tell you who won, unless you fork out £60 for the elite nosh up. We don't care how much the JPT and potential play-offs will cost you. A few dozen super-fans are more important than the thousands who turned up every week, even when we were ****. Your support as ever, is abused and taken for granted..

Need to have a couple of machine guns to shoot the moronic b'stards before we have an end to it, unfortunately.

Missing the awards being given doesn't bother me. Didn't cost me to vote and I'm never in the ground so early before kick off.

Who cares if you find out who wins player of the season a little later than a few others? In what way have you lost out?

You've probably gained from it if anything as the club are generating income in other ways. Ways that you don't have to pay for.

But only when the awards dinner has been BEFORE the final home game I think. With the excuse usually being that they can't force the players to work an extra evening after the season ends because they all have holidays booked.

Well in the way that you have paid every ******* week for a year, supported the club through thick and very very thin, voted on the bloody thing and yet are denied the opportunity to ever be able to applaud the player who wins it. Unless of course they are planning on popping round to everybodies house next Wednesday.

You don't think the awards should be presented on the pitch for ALL supporters to see? What about being a community club?

And don't you think the players would prefer to receive the appreciation of the fans in the terraces, rather than a handful of elitists in the sterile legends suite?

They tried this on before, got hammered for it then n'all.
