Slightly off topic. Re equal rights..(possibly a separate thread needed)
A point that fekks me off. (Aimed at the law) Many are not aware that equal pay does not cover those of same sexes.
Eg if a role is offered. It must be equal to both sexes at the same level.
But that role doesnt have to be offered at the same level of someone else doing the same job already in place. even when reaching the same standard of work. Or in some cases do the role better. And we are talking £1000s.
YW operate this scandal in most departments. Our unions on behalf of Craft engineers. Would not accept this scandalous attempt on our workforce. And insisted qualified engineers start on the same rate. And the tactic of Benchmarking is so flawed. We kicked that into touch as well.
