    Yes, happy with that.

Based on his display on Saturday that's great news. Summat switched on after his goal, it clicked. I can't emphasize enough just how frightening a force we looked at Wigan.

Apathetic in the extreme, but I take your opinion that he looked dangerous at Wigan Whitey so fingers crossed you're right that something's clicked with him.

Remember when Devante Cole looked unplayable in the odd game? Ivan was like that, but with added graft and physicality. He gave big Jason Pearce some right hammer, it helped free Sam up to pull in and out of the box thus creating gaps galore, that Hourihane, Hammill and Watkins tried to exploit. It was a joy to watch us as an attacking force. Defence was still a worry, but I'm sure that's next on the agenda.

I do accept it was just one game, in the JPT though. But I can only go on what's in front of me. I tore into them after the draw against dem blades. I like to think I call it straight.

I don't like our reliance on loan signings, and I have continued doubts about LJ's ability, but I have no agenda and if Toney can play well and bring some benefit to the club whilst here's here then I'm going to have to get on board with it. Hopefully LJ can get the lads climbing the table quickly and a day out at Wemberlee.

We've no other alternative really until January, other than extending the loans we already have.

I've been quite impressed with Toney, and think there's definitely something there. He's been given a run of games, and hopefully he'll kick on now he has a goal under his belt.

It's just a shame that Lee Johnson is more willing to give loanees a run ofngakes than he is to give our own players a run. He even thanks Newcastle for allowing us to develop him for them which is bloody stupidity in the extreme

Not sure about others but for me hes always looked a danger whilst playing for Barnsley.

Hes got it all. Anyone with Good pace at what must be 6'1/2 plus will always course problems to opposition defenders.

Totally agreed mate. Yes he's raw but he's looks a lot more of a threat than Wilkinson or Watkins up top.

ok this is just one game but i think Toney has been alright so far, and his extended loan spell is a good idea. and yes i can see why people are comparing him with the likes of devanty cole. why cant we send back wilkinson & smith now, and concentrate on winnall with jackson & toney.
