    Not knocking the club. But we've paid a fee for him but only signed for 6 months why. Is it to save on a loan place, has he had a serious injury.

    I just don't get the 6 months at all

    With the 1 year extension option it means if he's no good he'll be gone in the summer but if he does well then we can extend the contract automatically, makes a lot of sense to me.

    Feel for Brad Abbott who's disappeared again after doing nothing wrong when put in. Hope this doesn't mean we are going to change formation again so we can accomodate so many of our centre midfielders. Maybe Brownhill will go back because I don't think we need five guys for two positions.

    I get the try before you buy but we've bought him and he could just as easy turn the offer of the extension down.

    Why not just offer an 18 month deal

    If that is the case then all well and good, like I said not knocking the club as it's a permanent deal just seemed weird just to do for 5-6 months with the option
