Crazy. Next year is surely make or break for RNL. If he can't stay injury free and cut it in the alehouse league then I think that's it.

 

I mentioned that in my blog. In fact, both he and Steele are getting close, entering their eighth season with us aren't they?

 

Steele 8 (Feb 08?) RNL 7 (Sep 08 in the article). So in four years time we will have to find time for Lazarus to have his testimonial. I reckon it will take place after he returns from representing England in the Russia world cup rather than before he sets off.

 

Think you're right there with the dates. But do we give testimonials to players based on ten years service, or ten seasons? Because Steele's only been here six years, yet is heading into season eight. Strange.

I'd normally acknowledge that sort of *ahem* 'witty' remark, but given the context of the post in which I replied to Dreamboy, I think you've jumped in with both feet. With no shoes on. Or socks. Into a field full of cow ****.

 

They've had the history books out for 10 days making sure they're right. Shame they didn't use a dictionary while they were at it.
