Lee Johnson on Millwall - More from the official site... 30-12-2015 12:49 PM
“Simeon Jackson is going to move on. He’s a great lad and been excellent around the place and consistent in his training and personality, he just needs a run of games, he hasn’t really had the opportunity. He’s got great movement, Premiership standard in my opinion. He’s match fit and ready, he just needs to be guaranteed starts. Then why the hell haven't you played him you numpy!!!!! Match fit, ready and Premiership standard, Your words not mine yet the lad has never had a chance under your regime. The mind really does boggle under your stewardship Mr Johnson!!
I'm really confused why he's said that! We've had one striker all season who's been bang average then he says this and he only gets one start!
He said his movement is premiership and that he is fit. Think he is trying to plug him for another club. He played 28 times last season in a Coventry side that struggled to stay up and scored 3 goals. Hardly prolific.
My sentiments too, he's given him two minutes here and there which you can hardly judge the lad on and then comes out with this statement!! Unbelievable!!!
That Simeon Jackson stuff is just bizarre. I'm also perplexed by this insistence that anybody we bring in has to be eligible to play in the JPT. I mean, it'd be nice to win it, but it's 3 games out of 26 remaining, when we really need to be concentrating on the league. I wouldn't want us to drop any points because we've gone for a slightly worse player who wasn't cup tied.
Its getting to the point im actually starting to believe LJ releases a statement then text BT and MW and says check the forum. Im sure they're just having a laugh at us all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lack of footballing intelligence and general nous. Can't understand why people are taken in by his pointless patter - LJ, not Dr Z
I have lost count of people on here who say he speaks well. Fook knows why, cos he just talks ballax as far as thereev is concerned. Hth
We can,t have very good scouts if we have to keep bringing players in on loan to find out they are ***** anyway.
Obviously likes him as a person so wants to give him a good reference. If he thought he was good enough he'd have played him. I'd much rather we brought players in on loan with a view to a permanent in the summer than signed them straight off. We'd have been stuck with the likes of Smith if that were the case. Thankfully we can send him back.
Johnson said the same about Jackson at Athersley Rec. His movement is Premier League class and he's a great bloke to have around the place, but unfortunately the end product just hasn't been there while he's been with us. I would imagine he's left the latter bit out in this interview because he likes the lad, wants him to get a new club and doesn't want to highlight any negatives in the press.
I have no real opinion either way but it would be tricky to demonstrate any end product based on the very minimal appearances he's made.
But anyone who might want to sign him and reads the statement is going to be equally confused. Ticks all the boxes, nice guy, Premier League movement, not good enough to be considered for a team that's spent the runup to christmas in the League 1 relegation zone.
What could he have said that wouldn't have resulted in him getting slagged off on here? Not having a go at you with that, but when his critics jump on every single thing he does and says, he's not got much chance.
Can't argue with that but wouldn't think that's how you'd judge end product given its practice (though to be fair if he can't score against our defenders there's not much chance of him scoring against good ones). His recent end product in his spell with Coventry wasn't great. Don't see any problem with what he said. Nice guy got a lot to offer not quite managed it with us. Just feel in general given the paucity of our striking options he could have had more of a chance.
