Matches at Oakwell against Derby and Millwall have been reduced to a Category 'B' match Read More from the official site... NOTE: The number of page impressions the club get on the official site also improves the ammount of money going into the club coffers. We all know we need every penny we get our hands on so if you'd got out of the habit of visiting the club site then could I suggest you visit it more frequently? The club are aware of the short comings of the site and plans are in place to rectify these.
i'm a season ticket holder so it means nothing to me, but the club is making a mockery of it's own category pricing system it set at the start of the season. that's what has driven nearly 2000 pay on the day fans away from the club, and they're missing a treat. just make it £20 every match and stop fecking about.
Re: i'm a season ticket holder so it means nothing to me, but I'm not a season ticket holder so it means a bit to me, although I probably won't go to those game either way.
Re: i'm a season ticket holder so it means nothing to me, but The daft thing was planning all the games prices at the start of the season, it should have been done as the season goes along!! I do think the CAT system is best for us but only if done right. We want to milk Leeds £30 etc - but if all games are £20/£25 then weve lost out on making a lot of money in this game! Lots of reasons should go into planning what price each game is! Time of year How well we are doing How well away side is doing Saturday/Tuesday night In a spell of lots of home games Start and end of season and many more little things
Re: i'm a season ticket holder so it means nothing to me, but The Club is a joke. It's like a worm riddling on a hook it impailed itself on. The catigory system is such a success that they are having to back track and get back to sensible affordable ticket prices. That will be about a dozen I know who will now be going to those two matches.
Re: i'm a season ticket holder so it means nothing to me, but What I find absolutely baffling is that supporters told the club about the failures of the category system LAST YEAR and yet they completely ignored us, adopted a 'we know best' policy and have only now, a year later admitted (thought without actually admitting it) that the customer was actually right all along. It's as if they simply HAVE to be proved right and even if they know they are wrong they will pretend they're right anyway and carry on regardless.
be intresting to see which is the biggest non south yorkshire attendences supertyke and which CAT's they are from..

It wouldn't prove a thing regardless of who they are. for example say Leicester brought 3,000 (I dont know how many they brought, i've made the figure up) and it was a Cat A fixture and Brighton brought 500 fans and it was a Cat C game. You might say that it proves that the category system works because the more expensive game had more fans there. But my argument is that we have no idea how many Leicester fans would have come had it been cat C. They might have brought 8,000 for all you or I know. Likewise Brighton might have only brought 50 fans if it had been cat A. We cannot PROVE it has been a faulure based on attendance figures alone. What we can say without a doubt though is that from a public relations it has been a nightmare and in my opinion from a long term point of view it has been an untold disaster with the HOME support dropping significantly.
