We all know we need every penny we get our hands on so if you'd got out of the habit of visiting the club site then could I suggest you visit it more frequently? The club are aware of the short comings of the site and plans are in place to rectify these.
I see BFC have shitted on the common fan once again. Nice one Barnsley. Nice one. Too much to ask for the overpaid tosspots that grace the pitch to work on the first of may was it?
Cant get link to work. How much is it this year? More corperate lahdeedarring of people who don't even go to watch them i imagine.
Ticket Prices: £60+vat per person Table of 12: £660+vat Table of 11 plus a player: £660+vat And once again it's before the season ends so an award voted for by the common fan will be announced in private where only the privalaged few will find out the result.
Their are sometimes I think that he is only out to do that, but, he is totally bang on with this one.
And even attended by people who have never set foot inside oakwell. I know someone who's been twice now "paid for by the company" and never been to a match. Still I managed to steel a copy of the free dvd's. So at least a real fan benefited
Why do they put +VAT? Why not just put £72 per ticket? Jay McEverley for player of the season from me. There was a time when i was young when going to the last home game of the season was filled with excitement and anticipation on who had won the award. Not anymore.
Eh get this One year I took a mate of mine who supports Sheff Wed - he had a reight night. Where do you all think the money goes that the poty dinner raises ? I think they've had poty dinners for quite a few years now. If sill sods want to pay a lot of money into BFC's coffers so what ? A different issue to announcing the poty on the pitch at the final home game of the season which is what should happen before that gets raised.
Re: Eh get this Would the player of the year dinner raise less money if held after the final home game though? If the award was awarded on the pitch in front of the thousands of die hard fans who had voted would that really stop the prawn sandwich brigade from paying to enjoy the players companies for an evening? I reckon that absolutely NOBODY goes to the dinner solely because that is where the POTY is announced. I reckon they ALL go sit with players, listen to anecdotes, have a nice dinner and see the official handing over of the trophy.
Re: Eh get this I've already said it should be announced on the pitch so not sure why you're banging on about that. I go because I love the club and am in a fortunate position to put a bit extra into it. The players will talk to fans whether they go to it or not - at training for example so not sure what your getting at there either. Anyway they sell single single tickets so get one and go and see what goes off. Oh, and 'prawn sandwich brigade' ? - come on be original.
Re: Eh get this I wasn't having a dig at you for going. I meant that the reason you go is for the experience of a dinner with the players and listening to the stories not to find out whos got the award early. Which you agree with I think. My reply was to you but it wasn't actually to you, it was more a general reply than aimed at you for going.
Re: Eh get this I like the prawn sandwich brigade but I also like the Pret a Manger Crayfish and Rocket Baton Regiment. But which is best? There's only one way to find out....
