I recall us beating Northampton 3-1 in our second league home game of the 1975/76 season. We'd beaten Watford 1-0 in the first, with Mick Butler getting the winner. Mick got two in that second game. Northampton went on to clinch the runners up spot, behind Graham Taylor's Lincoln, at the end of the term.
We beat them 5-1 the previous season, on the Saturday before Christmas, with Peter Price, John Peachey and Sam Yates (with his first ever goal for us) amongst the scorers.
