Back Barnsley's new recruit to open his account with Coral - our official betting partners - and support the Reds.

NOTE: The number of page impressions the club get on the official site also improves the ammount of money going into the club coffers. We all know we need every penny we get our hands on so if you'd got out of the habit of visiting the club site then could I suggest you visit it more frequently?
The club are aware of the short comings of the site and plans are in place to rectify these.

No point our official site advertising Ranger to score tomorrow when Keith Hill has already said he won't be taking part.

Keith Hill has said he will most certainly be taking part. Don't know where you got that from.

Pretty sure there was something on here yesterday which said he wasn't in the squad because plans had already been made for the Leeds match and he would have to prove himself in training before he even got on the bench

    Re: Wasn't that about Assulin?

Yes, it was, apologies, but he did say the bit about proving himself on the training pitch

What Keith Hill said on Radio Deedar ....

"For those who dont listen to the biased show anymore, this is a summary of what he said. Not a transcript, not verbatim..
He said that Ass-you-lan, was the door-opener we needed and comes with great expectations despite never having played 1st team football. He thanked Man City, and said that he and Flicker have a great relationship with both Manc clubs, something they built up during their tenure at Dale..
But like Nile Ranger last week, Gai wont be involved this weekend either. Keith says that like last week, the prep for the derby game is done pretty much, and with the lad not training until tmra, it wouldnt be right to pick him. He and Ranger wont just walk into the team. Far from it. They will have to have a positive influence on the training pitch, and when they get minutes. Just like anybody else.
He mentioned that Assulin is ere "initially" in the short-term. Make of that what you want.
Beth Sennett then asked if that was that. Our business done?
Keith then intimated that no, there maybe room for something, and there could be one in, one out..
When pressed on it, he said he wont be sure until nearer 5pm tmra. He admits that we have a small squad, but that with injuries and what not clearing, we now have competition. He says that nobody has moaned or asked about their future, but there might be an opportunity for one or two to get games, and if its beneficial for us, then its a possibility..
    Think that was about that.
Seth asked him if it was pronounced Ass-you-lan, and Keithy said he'll go along with that, as he's not good at that kind of thing..
    Jay Maccieveli? lol"
