It won't be on the telly either because it should have been a Saturday game. Sterling work.

It really is pathetic that for years we have had so many of our biggest games moved from the 3 pm Saturday slot they should be played at.

Clearly there'd already been discussions about this and it had been decided so not sure why it's taken this long to confirm.

I believe the next round of Carabao cup is on the Tuesday / Wednesday after the game; therefore Sheff U would not agree to any date change until they knew whether were in that round.

Its really annoying - Saturday Lunchtime would be OK for me but Sunday Lunch - half past 12 on a Sunday is just a really disruptive time. is really difficult for me- If it was someone like Swansea or Peterboro I wouldnt even try - but I will see if I can find a way to do it but not hopeful.

How come they get to “agree” the change when fixture moves are imposed on us by the SYP?

As mentioned previously Live in Barnsley is on the Saturday - town is usually rammed all day. When you add a big derby game to the mix I think (for once) the change is understandable, very annoying for those who can't make it though.

My understanding was that SYP can't impose fixture changes upon us, only recommend them. I believe the way they do this is basically by saying the policing bill will be larger if we do not comply.
This is how I remember it being explained a few years back at any rate.

It's ridiculous ,nearly all local kids and men's football will now have to be altered so people can go to the game

Yes of course they do - anything to limit the numbers. I'm surprised they haven't suggested moving it to Monday lunchtime even fewer would be able to go then.
