    Hopefully on given the temps down there this week and their lack of undersoil heating. I've got non refundable train tickets :(

    It's supposed to have warmed up a bit by Friday, hopefully in time for the pitch to thaw a bit. Would be extremely annoying if not given we already have to travel to Oxford, Carlisle and Shrewsbury midweek between now and May

    Very good point, I hadn't thought of! May well drive now rather than risk non refundable train tickets. Forecast never above freezing every night this week, though 5° on the day.

    It's the temperatures up to Saturday that's the worry pal. Minus temps overnight all week. Most of those on train will have set off before It's called off unless it gets called off Friday.

    Thats my worry. -6 tonight, -4 tomorrow etc and only getting to 1 or 2 degrees during day and pitch will clearly have bits in shade a lot of the time. I'd say it's 50:50. You would think it would be obvious Friday however if its rock solid unplayable.
