Three Fixture Changes for the Reds: Fleetwood, Colchester & Oldham - More from the official site... 25-06-2014 11:59 AM
Re: Official Site : Three Fixture Changes for the Reds: Fleetwood, Colchester & Oldha Doesn't say why though. Fleetwood away probably because they play on a Wed rather than Tues anyway. But the 2 home games? Are they on Sky?
Re: Official Site : Three Fixture Changes for the Reds: Fleetwood, Colchester & Oldha Two cracking decisions there from the football league. We lose our only 3pm home game over the Christmas period and as for making Colchester fans travel up here on a Friday night - genius.
Re: Official Site : Three Fixture Changes for the Reds: Fleetwood, Colchester & Oldha 'The U's match away against Barnsley will now be played on a Friday night, after the game was moved forwards. The match was originally due to be played on Saturday, November 15th, but the date clashed with one of England's Euro2016 qualifiers, with the Three Lions taking on Slovenia. With that in mind, the U's match at Oakwell will now be played on Friday November 14th with a 7.45pm kick-off. Re: Official Site : Three Fixture Changes for the Reds: Fleetwood, Colchester & Oldha They aren't decided by the FL - they'll have been requested by the clubs.
Re: Official Site : Three Fixture Changes for the Reds: Fleetwood, Colchester & Oldha Mental. Isn't that game a 5pm KO?
Re: Official Site : Three Fixture Changes for the Reds: Fleetwood, Colchester & Oldha That's even worse then.
Re: Official Site : Three Fixture Changes for the Reds: Fleetwood, Colchester & Oldha No doubt the TV company requested games be moved as it could affect their viewing figures as people decided to go watch a game instead!
Re: Official Site : Three Fixture Changes for the Reds: Fleetwood, Colchester & Oldha thats 2 home games I cant go to that I previously could, fecking great
Re: Official Site : Three Fixture Changes for the Reds: Fleetwood, Colchester & Oldha Colchester asked for it seemingly so 200 away fans wouldn't miss the England dross driving back home the Saturday evening. As such home gate will drop 500...
Re: Official Site : Three Fixture Changes for the Reds: Fleetwood, Colchester & Oldha Well it kills any chance I had of going to the Colchester game - for sure the fact England were playing wouldnt have influenced whethter I went or not. The Oldham game I probably wouldnt get to anyway but why has that been moved?
Re: Official Site : Three Fixture Changes for the Reds: Fleetwood, Colchester & Oldha I suspect the Oldham game has been moved from Sunday 28th, just to give a longer gap between that and the Boxing Day fixture.
Re: Official Site : Three Fixture Changes for the Reds: Fleetwood, Colchester & Oldha Crazy decision. Rather us play at a better time even if it's same day as England in an even more watered down qualifying campaign than normal.
Re: Official Site : Three Fixture Changes for the Reds: Fleetwood, Colchester & Oldha 11-30 Saturday or 13-30 Sunday would have been better then a Friday night Best thing about it is England have been changing their kick offs to a Friday night anyway so if they do it again we've moved it to clash
Re: Official Site : Three Fixture Changes for the Reds: Fleetwood, Colchester & Oldha More the 3 Pussy cats the way they played tis world Cup.
Re: Official Site : Three Fixture Changes for the Reds: Fleetwood, Colchester & Oldha Absolutely scandalous that the Reds have agreed to this, when there will now be more Reds fans missing the game than there would have been Colchester fans travelling to the game. And CUFC are making the presumption that all those fans would a) want to watch the England game anyway, b) wouldn't be prepared to watch the game in a pub in Barnsley before travelling home, like we did at Fulham one year and c) will actually travel to Barnsley for the Friday night game. If they are not coming to the Friday night game anyway it has all been a bit pointless hasn't it, as they obviously prefer the England TV game to the live Colcheste game, so wouldn't have come to the Saturday game anyway. So we've changed the day so that a handful of Colchester fans who wouldn't have come to the Saturday game now have the privilege of not coming to the Friday game! There could be up to 500 Reds fans missing the game due to this change, through work, travel issues, distance or being too young/old for night matches. Colchester would have brought around 250 fans, around 80 of whom might have wanted to watch the England game, around 20 of whom wouldn't be prepared to either watch it in a pub before setting off home or recording it to watch it when they get home. So BFC have allowed 500 Reds fans to miss a home game, as well as inconveniencing thousands more, for the sake of around 20 Colchester fans who want to watch a match from their armchairs. Of those 20 fans, around 15 of those probably won't be able to make the Friday match anyway. So, who's up for a bit of investigative work to find out who the 5 Colchester fans are that will be happy that they can now travel to Barnsley for the Friday night game and then get comfy on their settees to watch the England game the next day? Pathetic by BFC to agree to this. In fact, the more I think about it the more pathetic it becomes. Let's hope we don't bend over as easily with transfer negotiations!
Re: Official Site : Three Fixture Changes for the Reds: Fleetwood, Colchester & Oldha Chill out folks, it obviously suits the club so unlucky I am afraid. what do want Jason to do, ring you all up to ask permission to change the fixture, just because you are going to your aunty mables tea party or whatever? Face it you ain't that important. You lot would complain if they offered to play it in your back garden. Hth
Re: Official Site : Three Fixture Changes for the Reds: Fleetwood, Colchester & Oldha I can understand the Oldham switch, more of a rest between games, I'd rather come on the Sunday afternoon when I have nothing to do, than come on a night in between work. Oldham might have fetched a lot on a Sunday as well rather than a Monday night! The Colchester switch is barmy. Again I will be at the game, but it would of been far better on a Saturday!!
