That should have been today. Silly to penalise those that have already been away to one league game or even Blackpool and Oldham, so they have to drop lucky tomorrow with a free for all with people that haven't been away this season yet. Poor allowing Coventry booking history too when the game hasn't happened yet and people can use them for better priority then go back to the club shop for a refund with some excuse as to why they need it.
Would like to go but can't see it. More that some might have travelled to support us at three different away games but the effort and expense for those means nothing in the free for all just because they might have gone to one league game, Blackpool and Oldham.
We can all complain that the categories don't quite suit us. Personally I preferred the John Dennis system where it depended on how long you had been a season ticket holder and funded Barnsley fc rather than how often you had given money to our rivals. They can't win with categories because there will always be someone who believes their system is better. You haven't considered that maybe there is a reason today wasn't suitable for an extra category. Short staffed maybe? Another match going on sale today? Maintenance work? Any number of reasons. Somebody who has been to one away game hardly has any more credibility than someone who hasn't to be honest, it's one game. In fact so close to the start of the season it could be argued that it's a bit daft to use away fakes as categories at all because all they are doing is stopping other fans going and making a bigger gap to those who were able to go to the first couple.
I don't see the problem. It's a strange logic people use where going to football games is concerned. Some think they should be entitled to go to every game. Giving others the opportunity would be considered fair in most situations.
Got to agree it's a impossible task to please everyone and when demand is greater than the allocation someone is going to be dissapointed.
I’ll be online for the next half hour if anyone wants an adult Fleetwood ticket sorting out I’ll get it off my account for them? Only condition is I’ll assign it to my account for the future stub. Other then that it’s all dandy. If you want one then speak up.
I don’t think the club could have done it much better. Of course season ticket holders should get priority over those who pick and chose games. It’s one of the benefits of committing to the club for a season Giving priority to season ticket holders who have be to more away games makes perfect sense to me
I don’t see why they couldn’t have sorted it based on how many games you went to last season. That way there’s far more games to base it off, I think it’s more fair.
I agree which is why today should have been a one league away stub day. Says here about additional tickets so you never know...... https://www.footballgroundguide.com...own.html#awhat-is-it-like-for-away-supporters
As SuperTyke has alluded to, basing priority on away matches attended, creates an elite who will keep taking up the overwhelming majority of tickets game after game in this division with the lower allocations. They should mix it up a bit and change the criteria now and again to give everyone a chance. There will be quite a few people who haven't been away yet out of circumstance not choice.
Maybe, a lot of away grounds have good sized away ends. Coventry and Charlton for example. Scunthorpe tickets were on sale for a while before they sold out, Bradford and Rochdale have large away ends too. Fleetwood, Accrington and Wimbledon will likely be the ones where we have to sell them on a category basis. If those are the only games someone can attend then that's just unfortunate. Also isn't it great we are having this discussion and we are taking great followings to away games.
