Wow, that's some run the U23s are on! I don't ever remember a Barnsley "reserve" team winning that many in a row. No Bramall again - must be injured I presume which is a shame seeing as how he was scoring plenty. Him and Thompson might be a deadly partnership up front.
I was reading up about academies the other day, strangely enough. Does anybody know whether we still have aspirations for getting into Category One? I appreciate it's an expensive endeavour, but it feels like we've actually been doing OK in terms of bringing players through from the youth teams in recent years.
Can only be a good thing can't it! I know they say that development is more important than results at that level but having players with that winning mentality ready to step up is surely more beneficial.
