I see you can choose Conor for the goal of the season, but not for Player of the Season. It's bizarre that you can vote for someone who has currently played 9 virtually anonymous games since January, but someone with 28 very influential appearances is ineligible.

I don't understand it either. You can vote for someone who's only played for us this season since February (2 months) but not someone who was here until end of January (6 months of the season). How can someone who's been here for half of the time be more influential to our season than the one who was here for longer and got so many goals and assists for us?

I can vote for Alex Mowatt to be a worthy Player of the Season who has played 322 minutes, got no goals, no assists and a red card but not Conor Hourihane who played 2250 minutes, scored 6 goals and got 11 assists? I get that Conor no longer plays for us but he was still an integral part of our season. It's daft to pretend he didn't exist and had no impact on our season just because he left. Conor and Winnall and the start they made to our season are probably the main reasons we are stopping up.

They've left and no longer represent Barnsley FC.
You wouldn't expect to be named employee of the year if you'd left your job and neither should we expect an Aston Villa player to be BFC player of the year. As much as fans liked Conor, he left, end of story.
I very much doubt he'd turn up to collect it even if he had won it.

We are voting for the player who has made the biggest impact this season. It's irrelevant whether he's still here to collect it or not. If that matters to you so much, we could send Whitey to Villa Park with his camera and show a live video link of him presenting the award to Conor on the big-ish screen at Oakwell. Oscar-esque. What about those years when the award was presented in front of the bow-tie brigade rather than the fans anyway.

Because if they put Connor on, they'll have to put Winnall on and then the whole thing will be spoiled by Wednesday fans voting him to win.

Roberts player of the season with MacDonald and Davies close.

Was torn with the Kent goal against Leeds, Hammill against Bristol City and Armstrong at Preston. Went with Armstrong.

For the goal of the year it's between Conor's 2 for me. I voted for the one against Forest.

As for POTY, I would've probably voted for Conor if able to but he's not here so I voted Roberts. Followed closely by Davies and Yiadom.

I would have voted for Armstrong's goal at Preston. I'm not going to bother voting at all though. I don't agree with being told who I can vote for.

Couldn't vote because the guy who should win has been left out which kinda shits on his legacy with us to be honest.

Also feel sorry now for whoever does win as they won't know if they deserve it as they might just have won by default the player of the season as long as you haven't left us award (I assume that is the new award name).

What the hecks going on with that goal of the season video, its got John Cena's WWF wrestling entrance music on it!!
As Im watching Connor and Armstrong bang in those brilliant goals, Im chanting 'John Cena sucks' along to the music. Quite surreal actually

I would be here all day explaining why it was chosen as the background tune, and you wouldn't understand most of it, but let's just say it was a suggestion from the players. And in fairness, it's their goal of the season video really.

Roberts for POTS, Conor gets my vote for goal. Armstrong & Kent close on their heels. if either had contributed more they may have shaded it.
Can't give Conor POTS I'm afraid. He left in January.
