Can we get an emergency loan for a manager then? Because that's a real emergency

Its probably called an emergency loan........because its an 'emergency'

I shouldn't think anyone will disagree with that

It just emerged that George Smith isn't up to it, yet, and needs to be taken out of the firing line.

Give him another year of development and he'll be fine.

I thought that emergency loans were only there to be used in exceptional circumstances such as a chronic injury list.

In theory they're supposed to be but in practice clubs abuse the system

'Emergency loan' is just a term for any short term loan signed in the 'loan window' between Sept 9th and Nov 25th.

It is yes but the idea is that they are supposed to be to cover injuries. Can't blame any club for abusing it though as the fa and fl have allowed it and made it normal practice

It is meant to be normal practice. You're thinking of the gk rule, if a gk is injured you can make a very short loan of one even outside the loan window.

I reckon George Smith has been one of the better and one of the most consistent performers this season. Against York I thought he looked tired, he didn't play very well and it looked to me like he needed a rest. I think this is a good loan move. It looks bad because of the ridiculous recruitment in the summer, but in the summer many were more than happy with it.

    I think it's a good move too.

White is pretty good, and it gives Smith time to rest up and prepare for another run in the side.

I think it's come a few months too late like, but it's surely a good thing that we've now finally recruited a second LB option? Although I couldn't tell you if he's any good, he does have experience and is more of an attacking wing-back by all accounts so fingers crossed.

The team bottom of the Championship, and traditionally a team we have always been more successful than, loan us their 3rd choice left back. Forgive my lack of enthusiasm.

One good thing, we can't do this next season, probably in league 2. The loan rules are being changed, and you can't have so called emergency loans next season. **** knows what we're gonna do like.

I'd keep him in the team. Others are at fault more often for the goals we conceed. Very rare a conceeded goal is down to him. Easier decision though to drop the kid.
