Exactly same interview as Pearson gave before Blackpool game. They're just robots these modern footballers.

Barnsley forward Sam Winnall praised the fans’ support as he netted his fourth goal of the season against Gillingham.

The striker said: “It always helps when the fans are always behind you and I’m lucky. Ever since I’ve joined they’ve been nothing but great to me and I can’t say a bad word about any of them.

“They’ve supported me through the good times and the bad so I just encourage them to keep going and I’ll continue to put everything into the games and hopefully return the favour.

“A great relationship has blossomed since the day I joined so it’s been fantastic and long may it continue.”

Winnall slotted home the second goal of the game on the Tykes’ way to victory and reflected on the moment and the hard work put in by Marley Watkins.

Sam assessed: “Marley did fantastic and it’s another two assists for him and he’s been brilliant since he came in the summer.

“He’s going from strength to strength so full credit to him for assisting and I did the easy job of putting it in the back of the net.

“Those are the kind of chances that you dream of as a striker when it’s just coming back to you like that so you just have to hit the target low and hard and I did that.

“It was a game where we needed to grind out a win and we’ve done that today.”

The all-round performance of the team was another aspect of the game that Sam was particularly pleased with, adding: “It was a thoroughly pleasing day.

"We got the clean sheet which is a bonus for the defenders and we can get a lot of confidence from that result.

“Likewise, I wanted to do my job for the team and see the game through and get the win.”

The guy who publishes it keeps using a black font on a black background. Click and drag to highlight the space and you will see the text. I just copied and pasted it to here.
