YOU WERE OUTSTANDING Ticket News On Saturday against Derby County, the Club came together as one. Continue reading on the official site...
I'd be happy to see those prices for the rest of the season including wendy for me with it being on sky. I dont know what the rules are for charging away fans different but I think i heard once at a meeting. A couple of dispensations can be made for home fans only. Not an idea I personally like as it just punishes fans and not owners like Chansiri.
It’s reciprocal pricing. We offered all 23 clubs the £20 price for their fans at Oakwell so long as it’s reciprocated. That’s why Derby was £20 in the Ponty and away end. And same goes for Pompey. Pretty sure Plymouth didn’t agree, nor did Wednesday. So the prices for those games will be higher.
I get that YT and am aware. But what stops us reducing our prices for our fans. is it the case of we can't because we'd have to reduce it for Wednesday/Plymouth fans. ?. Looking at our matchday prices £23 (south stand) to £26 upper tier adult. Will wendy fans pay £23. I assume so. Not the exorbitant prices we were charged at the sty. In a stand that belies belief. For such a massive club lol.
You can't charge fans in the Ponty End one price and the away fans opposite another. We emailed all 23 clubs in the summer with our proposal. I believe a handful agreed. It wasn't a surprise that the smaller clubs refused, because they make a fortune out of us bringing thousands. But we expected Derby, Ipswich, Portsmouth, Bolton and Wednesday to accept it. The first three of those did, so the Ipswich game will be £20 for example in the Ponty End. For some reason, Bolton charged us £23 (so we'll charge £23 - as we will vs Plymouth). And I think Chansiri FC charged our fans £26. So it'll be that sort of price when they visit us. Unless we can somehow cobble together a promotional offer (think we're out of time on that, and without Beth at the moment, it's not ideal). You'd hope that folk still come seeing as it's our biggest local derby, we're both gunning for promotion and we could complete a double over them. And we'll push/market the life out of it.
Is there anything stopping us from charging £20 in the Ponte and the North Stand even if the away team haven't agreed to reciprocal pricing? I understand what you're saying about other teams charging our fans more, and that's we've written to them offering reciprocal pricing, but is there something in place that says we've to follow suit, or could we just have £20 tickets in the North and South stands every week?
I fear £26 for the Fowls game will put plenty off, especially for a night game on Sky. Hard to imagine we’ll match the Derby turn out. Hope I’m wrong…..
Not sure either you or the club have thought pricing for the Wednesday match through properly, Whitey. Surely when we’re playing such a massive club - and how privileged and thankful are we to be doing so by the way- it should be a minimum of £100 a ticket (no concessions for juveniles or OAPs, of course) with season ticket holders paying a one off premium to top up the per game price to £100. I have a cheque ready - just say the word.
Prices are set and agreed upon back in the summer. There are a couple of instances per season where you can do special offers, such as we’ve done with the School’s Out deal already. But to be honest, I don’t really know the exact intricacies and without Beth to help me pass stuff on at the minute, I’d be speculating.
