Said at the time and still stand by my view that if you've got a flare you need to grow up. Pathetic and embarrassing. Oh and dangerous if you'd not noticed.
They're idiots. They couldn't even let off a red one! Fcukin yellow?? Not even our away colours. Clowns.
Yeah the colour was bizarre as well. Guess it's whatever kids can get hold of. Can't wait for bonfire night. Already off with bangers near us
You know he means smoke canister Gordon. That doesn't make the point any less valid. Moronic thing to do. They get banned, the club could get fined and people will get hurt. Stupid.
# It does, l've been to games abroad and had flares thrown at us, believe me they are a completely different thing. Flares are fireworks.
I'm not saying flares are more or less dangerous. I'm saying gas canisters are dangerous, and throwing them in a football stadium is a stupid thing to do.
Anyone who sets fire to something and throws it at people know they are going to injure someone, I'm not bothered about them being lit its the fact they are throwing them into a area where people are stud with their back to the danger, is atrocious they know what their doing and that's showing no regard what so ever for other people and there should be no place for people like this in society let alone a public stadium
Did his other brain cell think about other people in the stadium, or hasn't it developed yet? He wants banning along with the ****** that was throwing lighters.
Think that's why it was so bad this time. Actually throwing the thing completely changes whats happening. Something that lets off smoke becomes something that can injure someone like it did on saturday.
This is similar to what was thrown, ring pull cannister, nothings set alight. It would hurt mind if it hit you on the back of the head but a lot of people are getting these mixed up with much more dangerous flares. http://www.airsoftworld.net/pyrotechnics/smokes/enola-gaye-ring-pull-coloured-smoke-grenade-red.html If the authorities want to fine us for the incident then they also need to fine Leicester, Sheff Weds, Wigan, Bolton and that's just a few of the clubs that have set these off in Oakwell alone. The Irish also threw two on the pitch at Wembley...
and I said at the time and still stand by my views.. its the stewards duty simples they are hired and paid to ensure the safety and well being of the spectators both of the home and the away fans. If the relevant searches had not been made and the items not found then its totally down to them. I remember several occasions at away grounds being searched.. I remember a lass being searched at Bristol City and her spray deodorant was confiscated. They are quick to make you take the tops of your soda pops and if you light a *** they are straight in.... stand up for too long and you risk being ejected... but bring and use a dangerous pyrotechnic and they fail miserably. This is in no way the clubs fault its the stewarding company and also the police at fault. The club are told exactly how much Police and stewards they have to have ,and pay for. That said the club have done their duty as far as security H&S etc in my opinion... I again lay it all at the said hired and paid for services for ALL the blame blame.
