Aye, he sounds like a bit of a me me me type. I enjoyed watching him in the main, but his comments since leaving have soured it a bit.
"i was settled in sheffield and the sheffield area" he played for Barnsley he lived in barnsley i believe his kids went to school in Darton barnsley all of a sudden hes from sheffield. hope his next shits a hedgehog and he gets splinters in his arse off that bench
Good luck to one of the hardest working lads we've ever had. Some folk have very short f.cking memories. Of course he'd be open to a move if it's an option because that means we've agreed to sell him. F.cking hell fire.
Chill art. No short memories here. I enjoyed watching him in the main, probably the best centre forrad since Shipperley (but not in his league), although I did rate Ferenczi. He always worked his bag off from what I saw did COG, and was more talented than folk give him credit for. But the bloke's not done an O'Brien, Butterfield, Stones, Hassell, Foster or Steele, and said complimentary stuff about us when departing. Which I do find a bit sad as I really liked him. From the stuff I've read/heard since he went, it seems to be me me me. The Sheffield bit (regards where he lived) is just strange. However, it won't have me slagging him off. I just find it a bit **** that we're obviously just another club (of 11) that he's played for. Might say more about me than it does him, that I'd have liked him to be complimentary. I just feel it makes the departure easier to swallow. But I get the feeling Chris only cares about Chris. Good luck to him.
Its not that he's gone that is bothering me, its the way he has gone. Steele left with dignity and class which is something COG hasn't done and that is what is souring the memory for some.
Listened to that & didn't think he said a lot wrong. When he said Sheffield he then corrected himself & said Sheffield area straight after which is true. It's the biggest city in the county. When he mentioned big & Brighton he was talking about potential & he's right they do have a lot of potential. And even if he had of slated Barnsley, actions speak louder than words. I'd much rather someone who grafts his ******** off but doesn't say anything nice about us than all the wasters who didn't contribute to the cause but haven't said anything negative about us
It'd be nice if he mentioned us at all. It's as if he doesn't want to say 'Barnsley'. Agree with YT, he comes across a bit me me me.
Why, because he didn't ring Mark Stokes to give a big interview immediately? He's said all the right things when he was here, obvious the club wanted him to go and he's gone. Doesn't alter his achievements with us or the type of bloke he was/is. Sensitive gets some folk on here.
I don't think he's the right type of player to fit into Brighton fans expectations, I think this could be another Redders & Charlton affair
Don't get me wrong Dyson, I couldn't give a shiny tbh. Up to him what he sez. It'd just be nice to hear him say how grateful he is to the bfc fans for all their support, and let's be reyt he certainly got backed by the fans. His interviews this summer would suggest to anyone that didn't know that he moved from Wendies to Brighton.
Not that I'm upset or owt, but it would have been nice if he'd actually said the word Barnsley. He's played here for 18 months, he won our player of the year, he lives in Barnsley and had done before we bought him. Not that I think he said anything wrong, but to go a full interview without even saying the name of the town where he's lived for years and the club he's just been transferred from is just a bit odd. He didn't have any trouble saying Sheffield, said it about a dozen times.
