Having a go at a supporter and saying that BFC have no evidence that he is a season ticket holder or has attended any games?

    Data protection act anyone?

    I read that this morning...

I can't see how they can get away with that. The Chronicle and the club should and most probably will end up in the **** for that.

I cant see how they can either

The only way that they can justify what they have said is if they have looked through season ticket holder's records to find his name amongst them. Does this not break the data protection act which states that you can only use any information that you have stored for the purpose that it was collected? And i'm pretty sure that 'to check out somebody's story in a local newspaper' was not the reason that it was collected.

Did they check up on the "box office players" statement also?

There was little evidence of that either.
