**Tom, if you're reading, this is completely tongue-in-cheek** <a href='http://s18.postimg.org/uv4e0bv95/tomkennedy_bbc.jpg' target='_blank'><img src='http://s18.postimg.org/uv4e0bv95/tomkennedy_bbc.jpg' border='0' alt="tomkennedy bbc" /></a>
Maybe it's the beer, but that did make me laugh. I think Tom Kennedy is subject to a lot of unnecessary abuse, he's not nearly as bad as some make out, but the above is funny and I hope if he reads it he'll take it in the way it was meant. Give me light hearted mocking over angry abuse every day of the week. "Some players aren't so good in the air. Tom just isn't good with the ball on the floor, or in the air. He arrives on time for training and doesn't go home until he is told, so he deserves his place in the team." - genius.
Posted it a bit hastily, could have been funnier. Totally missed an opportunity to mess with that 'More from Football' bit. ie - "Rooney buys talking watch".
It's 'your'. And err, no, it really wasn't. It was a bit of fun. I showed it to John via someone else and he thinks it's hilarious. His performances since have improved. However, my point stands. The fake article in the OP is mocking one of our players, in a playful manner. Think on.
It's not, it's using exaggeration to the point where the situation becomes ridiculous and in turn funny. Tom Kennedy isn't selected in the team because he turns up for training and does what he's told like a good little boy. That is funny because it's not true, it's preposterous, we're laughing at the situation the author has created, not what Tom Kennedy actually does. Your video ridiculed a player for the things he had actually done. It put his mistakes under a magnifying glass and highlighted them for us all to scorn and laugh at. That doesn't mean what you did can't be funny, or that's it wrong, but it's not the same as the above.
We'll agree to disagree then. Because in both instances a BFC player was playfully mocked. No grey areas. It's humour. You may not find either funny, but both are setting out to amuse. As for old Spartacus, you don't know what to believe.
Nope. I don't particularly like this Kennedy one, as it's still picking on someone (albeit in jest), but I can see that it is made up. The article above is just satire, like something you would find on the onion or the daily mash. It's OK to laugh at this, as it's obviously not true. You made a video of things M'Voto has ACTUALLY DONE. That is very different, and definitely worse. Kennedy could read that, and think 'oh well, that's just his opinion'. M'Voto would watch it, and die of embarrassment that all of his mistakes have been picked out and put together in one place for people to watch over and over.
