Did any of you expect Shepherd to go for anything other than the cheap option?
I've been laughing for weeks at all the suggestions on here, Dowie, Robson, Blackwell, Worthington, blah, blah...

As someone stated earlier we've just witnessed the worst performance against a Sheffield team in living memory and the man responsible for team selection, tactics and motivation of that embarrassing debacle gets the hot seat.

League One here we come.

(Well done Shep, Joe Richards would be proud, happy new year)

How do you work out that Davey is the cheap option?

This seems to be the bog standard way of having a go at a Chairman who was done wonders for this club.

OK, Davey may be cheaper than a Ferguson, but get real, we are a medium sized provincial football club not a "massive" well supported club like Wednesday who went to Scnuthorpe for their Manager. Davey must have been the best candidate for the job.

Davey has done something Ritchie couldn't do at this level. He has produced a team out of nothing which on form are heading for a mid-table position. If Wallwark hadn't been injured we would have beaten Wednesday and took at least a point off Leicester and QPR. You would have been moaniong then if Davey hadn't been given the job.
OK, we were bad against Wednesday, but that was just a 3 point game like any other.

It time you stopped moaning about Davey's appointment and slagging Shepard off and got behind the team.

Simon Davey is our new manger we have to accept it and get on with the job of giving this Club our 100% support

Heading for a midtable position???

Wot a laugh. If we manage to avoid relegation it will be well done Mr Davey but don't talk ridiculous about mid table. We have 3 players at the club who are good enough at this level.

Mr Cryne has got us out of the mire NOT Mr Shepherd.

And finally Davey IS the cheap option because;

A. He's got no previous
B. There's no compo to pay
C. He's already at the club (no doubt they'll put someone in charge of the academy who's already here. That old bird serving the tea knows a thing or 2 about young talent)
D. He'll not come in demanding a transfer kitty because of point A.
E. He'll not be able to demand either an expensive or long contract, again because of point A.

No doubt there are other factors I've missed but there's a few to be going on with.

Dead easy. He costs a lot less money than somebody who has a f**king clue.

Happy New Year, even though the moon landings were faked 'cos of the Van Allen belt and that.

No, but then again I've never told everyone how the manager

should be coaching the players.

So

Do you have to be a football manager to criticise a football manager?

Do you have to be a chairman to criticise a chairman?

Do you have to be a player to criticise a player?

Whatever you think about JC's opinion he is better qualified than the vast majority on here to have an objective opinion on coaching methods.

Did you join in with bullies at school BTW

I have only seen 5 of the games with Davey in charge,

and we havent played as a team in any of them.

I only hope that now he has got the job that he remembers we are a football team.

I sure he'll tell thi

and he has got some.

But my point is that he had a go at AR's training and was harassed on here by the board bully boys.

Everyone on here has criticised AR or GS or PC or the players in some way shape or form (myself included) on many occaisions and none of us need qualifications to justify what we say but apparantly JC needs to display a european coaching licence to justify his opinion on AR's training methods.

Oh and apparantly a number of players complained about AR's methods prior to his demise.

The players complained? I though Ritchie was too much

'one of the boys', there seem to be far to many conflicting stories flying around to believe any of it.

Maybe

One of the boys attitude was fine for players happy in the comfort zone but not all players fall into that catagory.

People on this board often forget that not everything is as black and white as they would like.

If we're thinking of McIndoe's supposed criticism then

to sack Rithie and then sell his main supposed critic 2 days later, yeah, you'd do that wouldn't you?
