Now when i lived in Birdwell,as you know next village was Rockingham Coliery
now it winter,there is snow on the pitch at Rockingham
in those days Rockingham had a second team
next door was Hoyland athletic
in tha association League
funny thing was Both teams were Playing Shipcroft
from wombwell
i walked past the Rocking ham ground to watch the First team
as i am going past Rocking ham someone saw me and shouted He BOB we are one Short
do you want a game
well like the idit i was could not resist a game
so i played in the Snow y Pich in my Best Shoes
but i still managed to score
but my Shoes
cream Crackered and we Lostmerry xmas
