    I went away last week to Portugal with the taproom mafia and I got bitten by something on the back of my calf, upshot is that its gone manky and i'm on penicillin, but remember having a boil when I was a bairn and my mam putting a bread poultice on it ( and a mate telling me about the bottle treatment)and then I got to thinking about all the other "mams remedies" butter and sugar for a sore throat goose grease on your chest etc just wondered if anyone else had got any of the old wives treatments ?
