ok this is from me, the one who many think to be the most negative in the world here...READ ON..

We have a team that are playing the best football since the year we ended in the playoffs under Bassett, Andy Richie & Rick Holden has done this for us.The team is young and thus at times naive..they WILL learn.They will also go on to be a damned fine and feared side...also Andy Richie WILL become a very good and revered manager.YES he sometimes baffles one or two of us with tactics, but he too is learning and I see improvement in the guy all the time.He is most obviously a good manager of men and a sound motivator, the team spirit tells you this.We will have some sound thrashings this season , but with each one we will get stronger and more resilient and above all we WILL learn.I truly believe we are on the start out of a journey to bigger and better things with the people we have at Oakwell.BUT I will still whinge and moan like a stuck pig at every opportunity as is my right as a paying customer...but I am not stupid to not realise that we have the foundations of a very fine and good quality team, Management, and board too. YES this is the real Dragon Tyke and NO i aint fallen and banged my head.But as one swallow does not make a summer so yesterdays defeat by one of the promotion race favorites certainly is no end to the world.

I think that you may be taking it a bit over the top there mate. The Championship is not the place for an up and coming 'young' manager to learn, it is too much of a risk for us to wait for Ritchie to learn from his mistakes because by then it will be too late.

Anyway this isn't Ritchie's first job you know, he was at Oldham for 3 years and his record there wasn't too clever and he isn't and up and coming young manager, he is 46 and has been in the game as a manager long enough now to have learnt from his mistakes!

I wouldn't say that this team matches the wembley season team, the performances this season have been okay, not brilliant but not bad either and we have only won against the teams expected to struggle. Yes we do have good players such as Howard, Togwell, McIndoe and Hayes but we also have some ***** like Kay, Heckingbottom, Hassell and most of all Tommy Wright. We are still rebuilding and are on the way back but whether or not Ritchie is the man to do that will remain to be seen

 

then you better tell Watford that mate, as they have an up and coming new young manager.

Bloody terrible!!

In fact the full backs are are major weakness as is our defence and we need cover in defence but the manager is hell bent on signing another 'young' striker at all costs!

I actually said the best SINCE them.If you are not satisfied,sir.Then I am sure the Big Club down the motorway will accomodate you.

 

Didnt Barnsley have a up and coming manager once...............a Mr Danny Wilson,for god sake get off Ritchies back were not even half a dozen games into the new season

it was for Gazzared, who claims Ritchie's record at Oldham was 'none too clever'.

In fact the Oldham fans regard Ritchie as a legend, and accept that he did the best he could with the reources at his disposal.

I didn't say sack him right now, i just said wait and see and that GS is doing the right thing by waiting. Like you said it is only August and now is certainly not the time for knee jerk reactions!!

He was let down by the board , who sacked him then gave a load of money to Mick Wadsworth and almost put the club out of business. Every Oldham fan would have him back tomorrow.</p>

Fine,i was just referring to his league positions in the 3 seasons he was manager i wasn't aware of the circumstances surrounding it!
