Posted in the rate the ref thread. Same as Cole’s, their player came from around the back of Cole and stooped to head it just as Cole Raised his leg, it wasn’t that high either. Thought he was unlucky to be penalised let alone get a yellow card. Guess that was the ref falling for the play- acting as per usual
The ref motioned that cole had elbowed their player when he got booked. Not sure how that was a yellow though, it's either nothing or red isn't it?
Yep, it was almost right in front of me, I didn’t see an elbow. I doubt Cole even knew he was there or not as close. The ref did indicate a foot high motion. Disappointing that he didn’t go straight for the card, he approached their player who was rolling around the floor, then booked Cole. Said player made miraculous recovery was he saw Coke had been booked
What frustrates me about the booking was that if Cole had kicked him in the head then why wasn’t their physio called on to asses for any concussion? But he wasn’t called so that would indicate that the ref thought that their player was completely fine but booked Cole anyway.
