Training device, accidentally left in the stadium following a training device. Unbelievable. I hope they're suitably insured, for all the compensation claims about to head their way..
Seems like something they would just say to calm the fears of the public to be honest. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The security training company it seems had just employed 2 new officers in charge of the organisation of the whole exercise http://static.independent.co.uk/s3fs-public/thumbnails/image/2014/02/04/19/pg-34-chuckle-1.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That's got to be the only reasonable explanation. It seems completely stupid otherwise. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
If it wasnt so serious and inconvenienced and cost real money and time to tens of thousands of people this would almost be funny. Incompetence of the highest order - Man U would be entirely justified in recovering all the costs they have incurred to try and fix this with their fans

I'd have thought a pre match, row by row inspection should be carried out before turnstiles are opened? They will also have had numerous Stadium Tours on since Wednesday. Unbelieveable it could go un-noticed until people get into the ground.
I agree - you can't help but think that when it was kicking off someone at Manchester United would have thought - oh aye - I remember we had them fella's round with the fake bombs the other day - I wonder if they left one behind..... On the topic of it being a fix though - now that Manchester United now know they have to beat AFC by 19 goals to get a champions league spot and not loose to finish above Southampton - is there any precedent for anyone playing this last game late and getting an unfair advantage from doing so? I wouldn't put it past Scumchester to ask the bomb disposal team to leave one behind just for the eventuality that they needed the match abandoning.

I'd imagine that wouldn't be included as part of a stadium tour. And part of me agrees that they should do some kind of security search before games but when you think about it how likely is that? I doubt Barnsley do a full sweep of the stadium before opening the turnstyles and we often leave the gates unlocked on none matchdays, I've personally just wandered into one of the stands on a Friday morning before
