Lee Jay odds on for a quick return?

Not a chance our Lee Jay is the best thing since Danny Boys second coming!

Admittedly a bizarre decision. 2 defeats this season. They were above us before today

ive heard Oldham are aiming big this time, and Danny wilson is in the running :p

its crazy though when managers are sacked less than 6 months after getting the job, like the bloke at Peterbrough.

Oldham fan BTW, and I work with Mario.

Not a fan of sacking managers, but Darren Kelly should never have been appointed at Oldham. It was a cheap option by our chairman, and he was put in an impossible position. I personally have had enough of our board - I'm grateful for them saving us from the jaws of administration, but we are now 11 years into a 5 year plan... We were promised Championship football by 2009 at the latest...

We've endured the Lee Hughes debacle (I don't know any Oldham fans who wanted him), poor (generally cheap) managerial choices, the Ched Evans palaver. We have a board member who wormed his way in via the Trust, and he's there for his own benefit not that of the club.

Sacking Kelly today shows that we are a joke at the moment - but there's no easy way to sack the bloke who shouldn't have even got the job.

Redfearn was in the Director's box today (as he was last Saturday). I hope he's coming our way with Steve Thompson who he worked with at Leeds.

David Dunn manager. Former red Keith Brown first team coach.
And a load of Blackburn and Swansea players to join them.

ohh is he the one who was allegedly defending for us in the 2000 play off final, and he allowed marcus stewart and co to wrap the game up (for Ipswich) early in the second half!!!

Well Neil cancelled his first visit to Redfearn's last Saturday because, in his words, "something was bubbling under". Had assumed it was the Donny job.

Now then John, good to see you on a proper forum again. I really think Redders is a good fit for you, ex player and has the potential to be a good manager. He's a legend amongst Barnsley fans so I would never want him as manager here but I'd like to see him do well somewhere.

I don't know how good he'll ever be.

I love the bloke, but I don't know if he's 'got it' as far as management is concerned.

Hope I'm wrong, like. Almost nothing would please me more than to see him really rip it up somewhere.

I hope he is a success but like you say he's still got a lot to do to prove himself as a manager. He could go on to be a real success, I just hope it's not something we experiment with because if things go wrong I'd hate to hear him being booed by the Oakwell faithful.
