    What does it prove?

So the U21 championship shows us who's got the best young players, the world cup gives us the world champions and the Euros the European champions in an open age group.

But the Olympics I just don't get. So it's an U23 team but with over age players in it. So does it prove that you're the best team thats a bit too old for the U21s but with a few good older players thrown in?

Plus, I always thought the Olympics was about amateur sport. Nothing could be further from the truth with the likes of Ronaldinho plying his trade out there.
