1. What a nice pub the Griffin is by the Brentford ground. Full of fans from both clubs but no need to wait for service which was rapid and exemplary. Great atmosphere. 2. Good to see the reaction of our defenders at the end of the first half. Fist bumps all round for job well done. 3. Second half performance could easily have seen us the winners. 4. Their scoreboard is minute compared to ours. Tiny - no bigger than my father in law’s little tele. I expect that some who there didn’t even realise they had a scoreboard. 5. The atmosphere at Brentford. Those who travel keep the faith. 6. Changing the subject somewhat. Recent interview in the Guardian with David Sullivan the horrid owner of West Ham. He believes that David Moyes “discovered” John Stones and paid only £500k for him. He looks forward to him finding another Stones!
Moyes made a similar claim on Goals on Sunday months back which led to Barnsley making a club statement. He obviously used that as his selling pitch in the job interview.
