On BBC: Barnsley make approach for Robins

    The Reds are looking for a new boss following Simon Davey's departure. </p>

    It is believed that Robins, 39, can be released from his contract if a specific compensation fee is paid by the approaching club. </p>

    Barnsley are currently bottom of the Championship after picking up just one point from their opening five games. </p>

    Davey parted company with the Tykes following Saturday's 3-1 home defeat by Reading, after two-and-a-half years in charge. </p>

    Robins took charge of Rotherham, who are second in League Two, in March 2007. </p>
