Our pre-match music is shocking, get with the times!! Smash that "boys are back in town" CD over the announcers head its an embarrasment, can't remember what l heard walking over the Ponty car park pre-match but remember thinking oh my god!! Heres what's on the Hull Board: WEIRD PRE MATCH MUSIC SELECTION IN DINGLESVILLE LAST NIGHT INC STEPS AND BOWIE'S ALBUM 73 ALBUM TRACK 'SUFFRAGETTE CITY' , BEFORE SETTLING ON 'NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC -1996' CD. ALMOST EXPECTED TO HEAR ROCKY HORROR SHOW 'LET'S DO THE TIME WARP'. Can we all chip in for Now 47 to get more up to date?
Before the game when I was walking across the carpark they were playing Kaiser Chiefs. I did think that "I predict a riot" wasn't the most appropriate song to play prior to a local football derby! As for Boys Are Back In Town - love it when they play that after a game. The trouble is that you will never satisfy even 50% of the people with whatever music is played.
Definately wasn't the Kaiser Chiefs l heard walking across!! Boys are back in town definate no no plenty of clubs comment on our selection of music being dated. Sound sometimes like l watching Gladiators on ITV!!
i suppose its an age thing cos i enjoyed the pre-match music including the Kaiser Chiefs what an old knacker
Whats up wi a few classics? - Eaststander - dont think that Kaiser Chiefs would galvanise many people to committ a public order offence - music as we have said many times (blagger) is purely a matter of personal taste. Oh and as for the "Boys are Back in Town" I reserve the right to play it whenever we win (and I hope the chuffin thing gets worn out!!) Now bog off and let me concentrate on my hungarian lessons! :'( Yooo Reds
rather they played that than some of the fookin trash thats in the charts today,i ask yer grace kelly.
I love boys are back in town! It's our winning song! Smiled when they played it before and after the match at Luton too!
That would be copying Sunderland though. That's what they used to have preceded by Prokofiev; both sounded inspiring and stirring!
I remember it as the FL music on SKY Always roused me up ready for a match. I remember Sunderland's classical peice, that was awesome.

Unfortunately the club are never going to be able to please everyone on the pre match music front.
Having said that maybe you could send some of your own suggestions to bfcsuggestions@barnsleyfc.org.uk and we can pass them on to the club and/or Klaitz
