    Anyone used it? http://www.barnsleyfc.org.uk/bbs/images/emoticons/042.gif

Well I've just registered and the useless heap of dung insisted that I supplied my initials. Seeing as my parents lacked the foresight 52 years ago to give me any pretentious middle names for just thos eventuallity, I had to make some up - X and Z being my preferred choices.

Having successufully registered I was then informed that there are currently no tickets on sale - even though the Blunts match is all-ticket. Has it sold out already?

Funnily, I did that as well yesterday !
Having called the box office to buy my ticket, I noticed a link to the online box office.
I tried to login, thinking it might remember me from previously, but no !
I registered thinking how easy it would make buying future tickets, only to find nothing available to buy.
Hopefully, this means the club are closer to providing the service and are finally getting their act together - both on and off the pitch :)

The online box office....what a joke....

....tried to use it last season and couldn't fathom what I was doing wrong.

I then e-mailed boxoffice@barnsleyfc.co.uk to book tickets instead, asking if them if there was a problem with the online ticketing facility. I received a response that told me to visit the online section of the box office to book tickets.

I e-mailed back to suggest that it wasn't working as per my previous e-mail. I then received an e-mail asking me to call the box office or to pop in to buy tickets. I replied saying it wasn't easy to "pop in" given that I live in Glasgow and that every time I called the box office, the voicemail box was full. I received no response.

I ended up having to ask my old man to take time out of his day to go and queue up to buy me a ticket. I wouldn't mind but he has trouble walking and doesn't need the extra stress.

I invested in a season ticket this season, despite me being unable to attend all matches and one of the main reasons for doing so was to avoid interaction with the box office at all costs!

They should remove the online facility altogether, what's the point in advertising a service that fails to deliver.

    Check out Blackpool's offering...

    ...far superior!

    Being a software devloper

it appeared to me that the user interface was incredibly poor in that it insisted that I entered some initials when I (and many other people) don't have any. If I wrote and implemented code like that (at Jaguar Cars) I would soon be "getting my coat".

It's more the contempt that B.F.C. shows it's customers...

    ...that riles me.

Especially as we need to encourage more of the casual (I always look out for Barnsley's results) customers/supporters to actually switch off skysports news, get off their settees and buy tickets in the stands at Oakwell.
