.............and Bristol could win 2 of their last 4

Which means we have to win 1 of our last 4...........and where is that going to come from?

We play two of the top teams at home, Cardiff and Brighton
Hull away, who we seem to be struggling against latly.............and Bristol away who have started picking points up and are fighting for their lives

I hope the season dosent boil down to having to get a result at Bristol

There are 12 points up for grabs were good enough to get a result on Saturday as for Coventry they should have beaten Peterboro on Saturday and must win at Burnley on this Saturday IMO. The pressure is on them much more than us and We are up for the fight.

I can't see Coventry getting more than 4 points from their remaining 12.

I doubt that Coventry are suddenly going to find championship winning form after being relegation candidates all season. I can't see them getting more than four points.

Desperation does funny things to struggling sides, the odds say they won't get near us but anything's possible in this division, and it's certainly not beyond the realms of possibility that both Bristol and Coventry could pick up enough points between now and the final game for us to need something from it. It's a sorry state of affairs that we're even having to look at these permutations, given where we were at Christmas, even taking into account the various enforced squad changes in and around that time.

The away form has been poor but even Luke Steele is injured at the moment and whats happened to Sir Bobby is he out for the season?

I still can't see on paper where they could win 3 games, Millwall are 8th in the form table so they'll do well to beat them at home, nothing from the Southampton game, they have Burnley away, Coventry have won 1 game away all season. They could get a win against the Pikeys and thats about it. 4 points tops.

Actually on Paper they are capable of winning 4 of the last 4

And so are we - but in reality neither are likely to happen

I'd be surprised if Coventry get 7 points from the last 4 games and would actually predict 3 or 4 points

I think we might manage one more win as well not sure which game

As Paul.d says we were safe once we beat Peterborough

I can't see Cov and Brizzle doing enough to pass us. I honestly can't see us losing all our 4 games either so we will have at least another point.

Its a good job Portsmouth had 10 points docked or we would certainly go down.

    agreed

and I think we will somehow scrape to 50pts. Not long ago I could not see any more points, but somehow I have a feeling we will get to 50 or 51

Really - I bet you wouldnt find may Coventry and Bristol fans who wouldn't swap with us if Pompey had another 10 points. I dont think we will finish 4th bottom, we will be higher than that (5th bottom is my prediction)

I won't be settled until we are mathematically safe. Our form since the New Year has been dreadful, relegation form and we are just on a nosedive. It's only games running out for other clubs that's likely to save us but we are still vulnerable. Coventry need 3 wins out of 4 to overhaul us, well, 2 wins and 2 draws would do it as well, unlikely but it could happen.
To be in this position, judging where we were at the turn of the year, is disgraceful, admittedly we had all the skill removed from the team with the loss of Butterfield, Vaz Te and Drinkwater for differing reasons, but things don't bode well for next season as the moment and to think that I thought it was "onwards and upwards" after Christmas.
