Haven't we anyone better to do the washing up?

    True

He'd spend 75 minutes flapping his hands around in the water not finding any plates to wash, then be replaced by his wife but by that time it would be too late cos the water was cold and the bubbles had all gone.

    Two problems

    1. Howard doesn't want to play on the left, and he's better in the middle anyhow.
    2. I'd play Nyatanga next to Hassell as if he takes time to find his feet in the team, Hassell is more capable than Eckersley at covering in the middle.

I was in two minds about Togwell

But Jones has said he's a "box to box" midfielder so I'm presuming he can do Togwell's role.

True- but thats not his best position

And he likes it better in centre midfield now from the horses mouth.

Togwell's the only central midfielder we've got

that gets a foot in. That isn't Howard's game, Mattis can't tackle, McCann's slower than me so Togwell's the only option. If Davey doesn't play him then he wants f.cking.

    Jones can play central midfield

But may be too attack minded but I have not seen him play.

Togwell would seem to be the best we have for the role but I am far from convinced with him.

RE: Jones can play central midfield

Just think that the occasions that Togwell's not been employed centrally then we've really suffered because of it.

Doubt that Jones ( admittedly without knowing knob all about him ) will have the tenacity in the tackle that will be required Saturday to thwart Southampton. The other midfielders available to us certainly don't.

    RE: What About

Central mid-field looks weak and inexperienced and Howards best in the centre not out on the left............ (titanic)
