    I blame the previous academy manager, he cant have developed players of a good enough quality to now be challenging for a place

    Hang on a minute...

    How can you blame SD for the fact that none of the 1st team are from the Academy ????

    He was only in the job 2 minutes before he took over the 1st team, It takes years to develop kids to the brink of the 1st team...

    The person/persons responsible are the ones who scout and bring in the kids around the age of 8 or 9.... you can only work with what you have !!!!!

    Davey in his wisdom got rid of Kay, Austin, Tongue, possibly Robbie Williams. Surprised he's not pushed out Atkinson yet if he doesn't rate the locals. Are their replacements any better?
    It's all a far cry from Patrick Cryne's aim (which I'd also prefer) of a team of mainly local lads.
    They ought to see what's going wrong withThe Academy.
