a ripe old age of 106, bright as a button, a set of medals as long as yer arm.
Bloody hell, what a life he's had, one way or another, and we're worried about whether Mark Richards is good enough for our team, etc etc.
Puts many, many things into real perspective, doesn't it.
It puts MY life some way down the pecking order.
Good on him, a true hero.

Richards might be good enough in another 106 years.

Nice posting Dave and true. Just think this man and many others like him fought so that mindless gamma minus semi morons such as whoever posted the racist thread earlier could have freedom of speech.

Commentator this morning said that a cetain gentleman was not at the Cenotaph today. I expected him to say that he was too ill to travel as he was 110 years old. Not a bit of it. He had gone to France as he was getting the freedom of some place over there. Takes some beating.
