On the bench where he deserves to be......

.... not as good as the two I've got in CM and not as good as Gerrard on the RM

Correct, good first eleven but not much back up anywhere .....

.... not of international quality anyway, Beckham and Carragher possibly but that's it

Gerrard and Lampard not good together in CM ....

... but both deserve to play and Gerrard is great at RM for Liverpool whilst Beckham has been ordinary at best in that position for Madrid and England for the last 2 years. Need Carrick to play the holding role and John Terry will captain in England for years to come when the new manager takes over!!

I hope the new manager does have the B*ll*cks to drop Beckham, because for the last couple of years he as just been 'average' for me.
As for he been the captain, loses his cool far to easily and allows himself to be wound up by the opposition. (Wales, Austria to name a few)

    The new David Platt,

contributes ZERO unless he scores , he can't ,tackle , run with ball or pass to the right.

    Don't believe the Hype!

Mmmm, think that might be a minority view mate .........

....... can't think of many Premiership, European or International teams who wouldn't want him if he was available, top player IMHO

excellent player. But I have yet to see Lampard and Gerrard play well together. They may as well be on opposite teams. For some reason, whatever instructions they are under, they put each other out of the game.

Something is not right when they play together. Maybe it is Beckham.

I like to make up my own mind,

He has been hyped out of all recognition, he is on a par with Paul Scholes as being well on the way to being the new Bryan Robson.

Problem is if Lampard playes on the left of the midfield 2 ,

he can only pass out to the left , so Gerrard never gets the ball from him.

Gerrard is so superior to Lampard there shouldn't even be a discussion as to who should be the key man in mdifield.

    Agree

Good Balance...... but we all know he'll never drop Beckham - He even said even if he was playing poor he wouldn't drop him!
Expected midfield Beckham - Gerrard - Lampard - Cole ... that centre never work well together!
