I am just looking at the Pizza Hut application form and am wondering why it is asking my ethnicity. Am I a better candidate if I am Asian or if I'm British.

It say do you consider yourself to have a disability? Nothing about being guarenteed an interview. Surely the best person should be employed rather than where I was born. I'm probably at a disadvantage because I'm white british.

Here in Norway many job ads state. "Women encouraged to apply" or "Minorities encouraged to apply" At least i don't have to consider sending applications there!
That part of the form will be detached by HR before forwarding for shortlisting. Never gets to those who decide to employ you. Its for equal ops stats fro govt. D/T is reyt if you have all the essential requirements & tick the disabled box you will get interview. New law in 2008
