Three days until Operation Mindcrime II. Which, for my money, will probably be even better than the Arctic Monkeys. Just.
Hmmm posted on Thursday for me.Although the reviews were slagging it off i listened to the full album the other day and i thought it was **** hot!! Although not as immediate as the first mindcrime I really enjoyed it and Rockenfields drumming took me back 15 years. Also i love the music and video to Im American.Nearly as good as the Artex Monkey!!
Heard 3 tracks do far. And they were the live ones. Can't wait. One band who can do f**k all wrong in my book. Probably not the most considered review you'll ever here, but there you go.
RE: Heard 3 tracks do far. I even love Promised Land. Never really cared for the last 2 studio albums but liked Geoffs solo album.Wish De garmo would come back full time though.
RE: Tribe is immense Cant get into it at all.Even listened and watched The Art of Live loads of time and still it does nothing for me.Admiteley Mike Stone is a better" Ryche Guitarist" than Kelly Gray whose lines were a bit too bluesy for the band.Plus he had no neck.
Quality. And "Hear (here?) in the now Frontier" is the dog's too. Bit experimental, especially if you're an Empire/Mindcrime afficionado, but anything with Geoff Tate kicks ass. Not keen on live albums at all, but saw 'em last year - or was it year before? - at Notts Rock City, and it was note perfect. Waited 16 years to see them, and it was worth the wait.
Anyway, off to bed. Nice to know someone else appreciates proper music though. Now, where's my 'The Very Best of Racey'? Nite mate.
