thats the disappointment of not getting any golds yet. Sorry but in my opinion coming 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th or in actual fact any position at the olympics is bloody good going and should be applauded. So what if we havent got the best swimmer in the world or the best runner. We are a small island with a fairly small population compared to many countries. Why do we think we should be the BEST in the world at everything? For example Tom Daley came 4th. That means that out of 7billion people there are only three better divers* than him. I'd take that to be honest. *in that specific discipline
Oops, good point. I don't know the other guys name though but feel free to mentally change it to Tom Daley and xxx are the 4th best diving pair in the world.
There was trouble in the Irish synchronised swimming team today when Paddy was accusing Murphy of copying him!
Then look at how much other nations have been funded and hyped though. Too much pressure put on people in my opinion. Everyone seems to expect the likes of Jess Ennis,Mo Farah,Sir Chris Hoy,Brad Wiggins and the majority of the rowers to get gold medals. If they don't would that make them failures?
