    That was finalised yesterday.

    &quot;It's good news for Mark, it must have been hard for him over the last couple of days beca <div id="ds-mpuTitleWrapper" class="MPUTitleWrapperClass"><div id="ds-mpuTitle" class="advertisement">ADVERTISEMENT</div><div id="ds-mpu"><div style="display: block" id="mpuholder"><div style="width: 300px; height: 250px" id="WctlDartHtml4" class="dartiframe">[IMG] </div></div></div></div>use he's had to grin and bear it before things got finalised,&quot; revealed a Reds source.

    &quot;It can't have been easy when he's been chomping at the bit to get in and work with the players. It was important we did everything above board and now we're really looking forward to finally getting things sorted.&quot;

    Yesterday the Reds first team spent the day under the guidance of the club's new backroom team as the Millers former assistant boss John Breckin and first team coaches Steve Taylor and Nick Daws all started their first day at Oakwell.

    It is also believed Millers' goalkeeper coach Simon Tracey will join them.

    Steve Thornber, the Millers Head of Youth, is in temporary charge of the first team, assisted by senior professional Paul Warne and chief scout Alan Crawford.

    A number of leading names have been linked to the Millers managerial hot seat, with former boss Ronnie Moore rated as one of the favourites with odds of 4/5 offered by one bookmaker.

    Colin Calderwood (7/1), Alan Knill (9/1), Steve Thompson (10/1), Gary McAllister (10/1), Nicky Law (10/1), Simon Davey (12/1), Peter Jackson (14/1), Gary Speed (16/1), Steve Cotterill (20/1), Paul Jewell (25/1) and Steve Staunton (25/1) have all been linked with the forthcoming vacancy.

    Barnsley's other new faces

    John Breckin: Born in 1953, he started his professional career with the Millers and went on to become a stalwart during the 1970s and early 80s. He helped the Millmoor side to promotion from the (old) Fourth Division in 1975 and again from the (old) Third Division six years later.

    A left-back by trade, Breckin also enjoyed spells with Bury, Doncaster Rovers and Burton Albion before moving into coaching. He spent eight years as assistant manager at Rotherham up to 2005 before returning to the club two years ago.

    Nick Daws: Burst onto the professional scene in the late 1980s after his impressive form with Altrincham earned him a move to Bury.

    A regular for Bury from a young age, he went on to make more than 450 appearances for the Shakers before joining Rotherham in 2001. A spell with Grimsby Town followed before he moved into coaching.

    Steve Taylor: Spent time coaching at Derby County, working with the Rams U19s, reserves and first team, before moving to the Millers last year.
