Aye-Aye-Aye, I keep walking out of Oakwell, week after week thinking 'How did we not win that'?

    Again, I thought that.

1-0 up at half time and ABSOLUTELY cruising, seriously. Norwich looked diabolical at the back, and we could have had 2 or 3. Their only threats in the first half were the lad Ched Evans and Leigh Croft (who looked class).

My hopes were high for the 2nd half...but then I remembered, we can only play ONE half. And that held true.

Norwich came out all guns blazing, (as you would expect) and we did NOTHING to stop them. If it had been 5-1 to Norwich come full time, it would have been fully deserved. An absolute shambles.

Not good enough, by a long way.

    A few observations:

    - If Brian Howard is worth 3 million, then Leigh Croft must be worth around 8 million. On todays performance, we'd be lucky to get 1 million for Howard, once again - he ran and ran and ran, without doing anything worthwhile.

    - Devaney. Great goal, and an even better tackle to stop Norwich drawing level in the first half, but aside from that - did NOTHING. Who gave him the man of the match? His wife?

    - JCR - I thought he did ok, got to the by line, and got some decent balls in. Ran at defenders and worked the keeper a couple of times. I was truly BEWILDERED when he was subbed in the second half. Appaling decision by Davey. Why take a winger off at 1-2? McCann (who didnt do 'that' bad - but was ineffective) or Howard should have been taken off for Leon (who I thought looked very good when he came on).

    - Mostto - Very poor today, didn't look interested. Always looking for the ball to come to HIM. I thought Coulson should have started. I've always been an advocate of giving players a chance, and I've done the same for Mostto. But today, he was very very poor.

    - Odejayi - I actually thought he did very well today, especially in the first half. Used his weight, got the ball down well and ran at defenders as well as bringing others into the action. Although he didnt score and made a few mistakes - he was my man of the match.

    - Souza - Again, makes too many mistakes. His distribution was poor once again and for me, he's no better than Paul Reid.

    - Hassell - playing out of position at left back (what was all that about?!?), didn't do too bad, but got beat far too many times. But he's not a left back, so I wont critiscise Bobby today.

Overall, the second half performance was no where near good enough. Norwich weren't that good, but once again - we've come a cropper to a team who are WILLING to just do the BASICS. Nothing fancy, just get the ball down, pass, move, work hard and communicate. We weren't willing to do this in the second half, and were justifiable out played and deservedly beaten. Still, we did at least try to get one back...with 4 minutes left. :)

Oh, and a very lucky Norwich second goal. Still, you make your own luck - the lad shot and Norwich deserved the 2-1 lead.

    Anyways,

    UP THE REDS!

thought Foster got pulled all over the place as

Van Hommet was getting caught in advanced positions when we lost possesion. I'm not convinced by VH I think Hassel should be rb and Kossluk lb.
