They REALLY know how to cheer up their customers and staff..... with the cheapest, most miserable, mournful, dirge-like, out of tune, one month too early, rendition over the shop hi-fi of Xmas carols sung, in the very loosest meaning of the word, by ancient tuneless american "singers".
Commenting to the poor kids who are classed as staff in there, they ALL look so totally and utterly pissed off to the back teeth, and all the poor sods can say is, "it's the manager's fault".
Trouble is though, they have to put up with it day after day after day.
I pays me quid and get out fast, they are stuck with it.

Yes and wouldn't you be if your years and years of education took you into employment where the most exciting thing you're going to say to someone today is, "One pound please"
It must be a thrill when someone spends ten quid.... "Ten pounds please". (and all the possibilities inbetween !!!)
