Thanks for that. Interesting reading for me. I only actually have one of the albums in that particular list as Pitchfork tends to champion sub-genres that I am not in but I won't bore people with any detail. I've mainly been listening to 1980s/90s death metal this year. Cheers.

I'd say that's more grindcore/punk rather than DM. More stuff like Morbid Angel, Carcass, Suffocation, Death etc.
