So the Crystal palace game for Hassel, Foster, Souza and Kozluk to show that they need to be Davey's 1st choice back 4.
Will Moore get the Heinz Muller or Paul Reid treatment when he's available for selection again ?
If Davey doesn't learn from Saturday then there's not a lot else to say.

Depends how we go at Palace but ......... ........ I suspect Davey will put him straight back in, he likes to do the opposite to what the majority think is the right thing to do
Heard Ryan Kidd on Dearne FM Say that they'd had strong words with the team at half time - to gee them up. Well, until Moore took that lads shirt off we were absolutely fcking awful, so keep quiet in future please.
There seemed to be a freedom about Barnsley when we went down to 10 men. Souza seemed more assured without Moore at his side.
Also, I noticed Hassel ready almost immediately to come on, then sat back down - was that Davey's 'tactical genius' ?
Time bought.

Their half time team talks must be dire ....... ....... and I'm sure they give 'em horlicks to drink 'cos they seem to come out half asleep for the 2nd half every week! No doubt that the sending off changed the game in our favour, maybe that will save his neck if we put a little run together now, but as things stand I think we should keep things in context, one good win against a poor donny team does not mean the bad times have gone forever, like you say, it's probably bought Davey a few more games to get things right and having a new/better back four forced upon him can only be a good thing
RE: Their half time team talks must be dire ....... Football can turn on such things, you've just got to make sure that you appreciate your good fortune and build on it. For Davey's sake I hope he does.
That midfield needs sorting. Not sure about Leon.

I agree about Leon ....... ....... I know some of our fans love him but I've never really made my mind about him, some nice touches and the odd very rare decent goal but he's very one-paced and I'm not convinced he has got it in him to play consistently well at this level, maybe this Colace guy will get the nod alongside DeSilva when he's fit again
RE: I agree about Leon ....... V Norwich, once Colace went off, central midfield looked weaker. Him & DeSilva together could be a solid pairing, but we need the wingers to deliver. If you could get Saturday's performance from JCR every week then we'd be set. unfortunately by the very nature of his role, it's not going to happen, but both Devaney and JCR are match winners imho.
The individual components are there I think, they just need managing....

Not the best performance from Leon, last season saw some real promise in him when Howard wasn't in the team. We all know he doesn't have pace and from Saturday clearly lacks the strength. What we do have though is someone who can play the ball around, etc. Not sure if that is what we need right now though.
we needed an old fashoined clogger in the first half. someone to get such in instead of the powder puff midfield, i didnt count one genuine tackle in the first 45 mins.
Agree. Anderson played well with Howard last season sitting deeper but Howard used to put himself about and win a few tackles. Leon just doesn't. Colace & Anderson to me is our best CM partnership.
Don't you man the "Marciano Van Homoet Treatment?" Has anything been seen of him since his dismissal at QPR?
Booed off at half time rapturous ovation at full time. Time we let a manager manage for a change and shut the fook up.
What with all the dressing room unrest and personality persecutions, its a struggle to see where those 4 goals came from.
RE: Booed off at half time well said in fact let's close this site down and not have any opinions about the club
